Alieu Bah has been released from police custody, hours after his arrest sparked tensions in parts of the capital.
Bah, a prominent youth activist, announced his release on Facebook, writing: “Dear comrades and compatriots, I have been released. The struggle as always continues! Homeland or Death! We will win!”
Meanwhile, the Gambia Police Force issued a public warning against what it described as “unlawful assemblies” that have disrupted traffic. Authorities urged citizens to respect the law and maintain order, stressing that public safety remains a priority.
